Joe in demand

Dear Joe,

During your next 15 minute break from lopping off heads at work (JK), visit LaDawn's blog. www.clare-panton.blogspot.com She posts lots of controversial whatsits over which you will have a ball debating merits.

Don't forget who gave you your start, though...we still love your antics on our blog too. ;-)

I am flattered you are giving me the love. I'll go over to LA's blog and see what she has. Remember this, regardless of my visits to here, my heart will be @ Casa Herrera's.

I am surprised you didn't say something like "Spew your rhetoric" there. In any case, don't worry, there is plenty (of truth) to go around.

Go Cavs!!

Two more things.

I know you were kiddin about the "head lopp" comment but I am very proud of what I do and how I do it.

Along those lines, I have a very interesting story about one of the guys working for me in Venezuela. Kinda feel bad for him politically. However, prior to the recent craziness in VZ, his performance began to slip. We had to have a tough discussion last week in a checkpoint review.

He disagreed with the assessment and then proceeded to ask me to move him to Miami just so he can leave VZ. I didn't support for the following reasons:
1. I simply can't move an employee to another city/country just to do the same job he has.
2. He wanted to come here the week his wife was due to deliver their second child just so he could have US citizenship.
3. If I couldn't move him, he just wanted me to let him fly to Miami for a 3 week business trip for the reason stated in number 2. He even wanted the company to flip the bill for hotel, food, car, etc.
4. His plan..., go to an emergency room when wifey went into Labor so he wouldn't have to pay the cost and gain US citizen ship for his second child.
Unfortunately, I couldn't not support this for many reasons (company guidelines, US Law and Personal Belief).

I was torn on this one, but he earns a great wage in VZ and the Government is still giving visas to people that want to leave the country without question. I think I made the right decision. Thoughts?

Spew indeed. You said it, not me. ;-)

About the VZ gentleman, I have to agree with ALL of the reasons why you rejected his request. Gross.

Maybe you should reassign him to Chile.

Good call, Joe. What is your job?
PS Have you ever thought of starting your own blog? I think you've got a real knack for this!

Why is Rodrigo writing in Portugese?

LA, thanks for the compliment. I don't think I would start my own blog. Not now anyway. I am enjoying your and Leah's company.
I work for a large US company, I am the director of Six Sigma for LATIN America. My region's sales, MX to Buenos Aires, has 3+ Billion in Sales. I won't go into more detail than that because I don't want to involve my company. If you get my email from LEAH I'll be glad to give you more detail.

Who is Rodrigo? Leah, your blog attracts lots of weirdos.

Joe, I didn't mean to compliment you. Clarely, I need to be more careful. :-)

God Daddy,

I knew this blog is getting attention.. We are now getting other international vistors... Joe you are the rush limbaugh of this blog.. keep up the good work...

Regarding the VZ dude... Great call.. Now think about it this way.. if he was from mexico his plan would have worked and we would have payed for the bill.

Joe also please note: I will also be monitoring ladawns blog and we will have a check point review and if we see more postings on her site I will be forced to give you a rating reflecting your effort. You are a tier one player on this blog and I would hate for your focus water down your outstanding efforts... Keep up the good work and stay focused on the blog that is making your an international celebrity.. ;-)
